CHRISTOPHER
RATHBONE , Musical Director
was
educated at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge. He was appointed as Assistant
Organist at Carlisle Cathedral in 1970 and became Organist and Assistant
Director of Music at Marlborough College where he remained for 23 years.
Christopher
moved to Leeds as a freelance organist, composer and choir trainer in 1996.
He is currently Director of Music at Meanwood Parish Church and Musical
Director of Morley Music Society.
As
a member of the daily choir of Leeds Parish Church he frequently gives organ
recitals.
Recent compositions have included a cantata for the 60th
anniversary concert of Otley Choral Society, called ‘The World’s a Stage’,
and a carol for the Morley Music Society concert in December 2001.
